Freedom Gala 2015

In December 2012, I returned from a trip to Bangkok, Thailand, eyes opened. Witnessing sex trafficking in one of the largest red light districts in the world first-hand was even more heartbreaking than I had anticipated. There is so much need and it has become such a huge problem that it is impossible not to feel helpless and overwhelmed. As soon as I got home, I reached out to Freedom 4/24 because I just could not ignore the issue any longer. Three years later, I am so amazed at how the non-profit has expanded to reach additional overseas and local partners to help sexually exploited women and children all over the world. This past Thursday, November 5th, Brian and I were honored to attend the 2nd annual Freedom Gala thrown by Freedom 4/24 to specifically benefit one of their partners, Freedom Firm. Freedom Firm works hand-in-hand with local law enforcement to gather evidence and conduct raids to pull minor girls out of brothels and bring their perpetrators to justice. It was an inspirational night that shed light on the trafficking problem in India and to date has raised over $53,000 to benefit Freedom Firm. Here are some highlights from the Gala!
